Effective: July 5, 2026 (revised)
This policy explains how the independent developer ("Developer") behind MeetLog ("the App") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information.
| Category | Data collected | Purpose | Shared with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloud summarization (optional) | Meeting transcript text | Generate a summary using an external LLM you configure | The API provider you specify (e.g. an OpenAI-compatible endpoint) — off by default |
| Notion export (optional) | Full meeting minutes (title, attendees, transcript, summary) | Export to the Notion workspace you connect | Notion — only if you enable this integration |
| Update checks | App version, request timestamp (standard web server access logs) | Check whether a new version is available | GitHub (update distribution server) |
| Crash reports (optional, only if you press the send button) | Diagnostic log contents, app/OS version | Diagnose and fix the underlying issue | Not shared — never sent automatically; only transmitted if you explicitly click "Report to Developer" |
| Support inquiries | Email address, message content | Respond to your inquiry | Not shared — sent directly by you via email |
Note: the Service is free to use, so no license- or payment-related personal information is collected.
The following stays on your Mac's local storage (~/MeetLog) only, and is never
transmitted to the Developer or anyone else — this is MeetLog's core design principle.
The exception: if you explicitly enable cloud summarization or Notion export, the data those features require is sent to the external service you configured — and only because you turned that feature on.
Meeting content (recordings, transcripts, summaries) lives entirely on your Mac, managed by you directly in the app or by the audio auto-deletion policy you configure in Settings.
We do not share personal information with any third party beyond what's listed above.
Meeting content is deleted immediately when you delete it in the app, or when you remove the
~/MeetLog folder alongside uninstalling the app.
MeetLog is a desktop app and uses no cookies or tracking scripts.
The landing page (meetlog.space) uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure visits. It sets no cookies or local storage, stores no personally identifying information (such as IP addresses), and only aggregates anonymous statistics like country, device type, and browser. The temporary hash used to identify a visitor is discarded after 24 hours and is never linked to a later visit.
MeetLog is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date above.
